Where we started
Our journey began in the early 1980s in Toronto, NSW. It all started with Peter Lynch, who embarked on his landscape journey by crafting large-scale bush rock retaining walls and undertaking large scale turfing projects. As Peter honed his craft, his passion for horticulture grew, leading him to pursue a Diploma of Horticulture in 1986.
With a solid foundation in landscape design, construction and horticultural practices, Peter's dedication to environmental sustainability led him to further his education in the early 2000s, studying environmental engineering at the University of Newcastle. This fusion of practical expertise and academic knowledge laid the groundwork for Hortscapes Landscaping to evolve into a leading authority in landscape design, construction and environmental stewardship.
